Services to Help You Organize Your Student Life
Get ready. Get organized. Have Fun! Meet with the Student Advisor at City College to help plan your transportation, child care, housing and more. We'll help you get organized so you're ready to concentrate on your career training. Student advisors meet with students individually to address any of these issues as well as other concerns. The City College comprehensive services provides guidance and support to the student every step of the way from admissions to ultimately ensure student success.

Admissions
Admissions is the first step toward a student’s success. Our Admissions staff meets with each applicant individually. Enrollment is determined by the results of an entrance assessment and personal interview.

Test Preparation
City College offers test preparation in advance of the required entrance exam.

Financial Aid
City College participates in several types of federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs. The Financial Aid Director is here to walk you through each step of the Financial Aid process.

Personal Support
Student advisors meet with students individually to address issues and concerns such as housing, childcare, relationship conflicts, etc. Students’ attendance is monitored very closely to ensure students’ success.

Education
City College offers a combination of classroom instruction, practical lab work and on-the-job externships. Our curriculum ensures relevance by developing real-world competencies, ultimately leading toward employment opportunities.

Career Services
City College maintains relationships with at least one hundred organizations that interview students for potential employment opportunities. Each student will work with the Career Services Department to develop a job search strategy and to match students with prospective employers.

Post-Graduation Services
The Relationship Manager will continue to monitor the student’s employment for two years. The full range of the program’s individual services remains available to the student during this period, including evening sessions.

City College does not guarantee employment; however, our placement program is available to assist all eligible students and graduates.

Student Success
City College’s associate in specialized technology degrees and diploma prepare students with the 21st Century skills through real-world learning by offering practicums and internships with actual employers.
